Hi there! I'm Rory, I'm 21 and I play guitar and sing. I recently moved to Penryn to study film at Falmouth University and would love to meet some local musicians! Vocals are my main priority as a musician and over time I've developed my skills and style into something I feel quite proud of. I have a YouTube channel where I've posted a combination of covers and originals if you'd like to give my stuff a listen:)

I'm fairly new to playing with others and have up to this point mainly been a solo musician, but would love to meet a bassist, a drummer and a lead guitarist to jam out with!

Influences

Recently I've mostly been listening to Midwest emo; The Front Bottoms, Sorority Noise, Prince Daddy & the Hyena; and their lyrical style has really rubbed off on me in my most recent tracks.

I'm massively into 90s grunge: Nirvana, Alice in Chains in particular and they've influenced the way that I write my music quite heavily.

Also a big fan of more modern rock bands like Foo Fighters, Rise Against and Microwave. Instrumentally, these bands are my biggest influences.

Outside of rock, there's a folk punk band called Apes of the State that massively contributed to my songwriting style; they're sincere, honest lyrics in particular.
