SEEKING
Band to Join.ABOUT
I don't have a band and operate as an occassional singer at the moment. I have done a couple of "Open Mic" type events but have mainly sang at (better) karaoke events which give me performance practice and get me using my voice. I've also been in 4 amateur musical plays.
This is my bio note from :
Became a member of the Phoenix Players in April 2008 and has since appeared in 4 productions with them. In July/August of 2008, took a few vocal lessons and entered a talent competion at Lewisham venue "Two-Eight-Six". My first song was "Jealousy" by Billy Fury" as he's one of my "all time favourite" singers (and they had it in the book)
I continued to appear at this Lewisham cabaret bar (Two-Eight-Six) for their karaoke evenings, but stopped going for a while when they blatently rigged voting against me in a few competitions. I later returned for a while and the bar has now had to close.
I have successfully performed at the Windmill in Forest Hill, The Rose (Dulwich Factor and OM night) Duke of Cambs (C.Palace),Brockley Social Club, was a regular at Chis Warr's previous "Eurovision" themed events at Ego's bar (W.Nwd) and Metropolis bar in Bromley and more recently at the Cherry Trees (Nwd Jnct) and Jason Prince's karoke nights at the Star & Garter. Now looking forward to Jason's new event at Bar Titania in Charring X Rd.
I sing mainly a mixture of 60's pop, Elvis and swing music.
