Long time fretted bass player recently made the jump to fretless.
I would like to find others in the Cambridge/Fens area who want to rehearse and gig regularly.
I would consider any music that isn't rock, indie or metal. But particularly two things I have in mind:
- Backing up a singer songwriter with a stripped down rhythm section. Think Damien Rice (Volcano) and John Martyn (Solid Air). With a fretless, I can get an upright bass sort of thing.
- Playing synth-style bass in some kind of ambient/electronic/chillhop sort of thing. Listen to: Ruck P (Green Valley Trail) or Fat Freddy's Drop (Big BW), later Bon Iver.
