Hi, I'm new to the Brighton area and looking to find a like-minded musician to collaborate with.
I'm originally a bass player, but for a good few years now I've been more of a "jack of all trades" type—guitar, programming drums, metal vocals (read: screams), and home music production.
In the past, I've had more focus and productivity working with another person, so I'm hoping to recapture that now. I'm not a singer by any stretch of the imagination, so ideally I'm looking for an open-minded vocalist who can bring their own style and put their mark on my musical cacophonies.
I've had some formative ideas for a project that I'd like to explore, sort of post-metal/blackgaze/hardcore (think a blend of Oathbreaker, Alcest, Brutus, Amenra, Slow Crush, Pupil Slicer) with emotionally-charged, mostly clean vocals and some electronic elements here and there. But in truth, I'm pretty open to ideas; I just want to make music.
You don't need to be able to play any instruments (if you can, great), but it would be perfect if you could have some input on song arrangement, mixing, etc. - a second pair of ears and all that.
I see this as a studio project, although I'm not opposed to playing live if that's the direction things went. I'm also happy to either collaborate electronically or in person, although only in Brighton/Hove if it's the latter.

EQUIPMENT
I mostly work on a Gibson Les Paul Faded (2018), but I also use an 8-string guitar, a semi-acoustic 6-string, a couple of basses, Neural DSP guitar amp plugins, an Orange Crush bass amp, and copious amounts of caffeine.
