ABOUT

ACOUSTIC BEATLES TRIO (Peterborough + surrounding)

I'm looking into putting together an acoustic Beatles group, looking at the countless well-known upbeat gems as well as the odd lesser-known and 'Cavern Club' era numbers. Most covers bands will be doing at least a few Beatles songs so I'd like to try and go a step further where we can, maybe looking a bit more authentic whether that's black polo-necks or full-on Sgt Pepper blazers - might draw the line at fake moustaches... I've got plenty of ideas for songs/segues between songs etc as I've played countless Beatles tunes myself over a few decades in bands.

I'm a guitarist and I'd be looking to take on the primary parts. Singing isn't my strong point but I'm happy to lend a third vocal and more in time as of course harmonies are a crucial part of the Beatles.

I'm looking for another singer/guitar and singer/bass, either of whom should be confident and happy to take on the main vocal/frontman role and engage the audience.

Not too fussed on authentic gear at this stage but a love of the Beatles, ability to take a good stab at the parts, reliability, transport and being easy-going are the essentials! I'm mid-late 40s and based in Peterborough so looking for people of similar age and location.

Hoping to meet up for a few informal jams in the near future before looking at potential bookings. These needn't be confined to the usual friday/saturday nights, in fact if anything I think the smaller footprint will lend itself perfectly to smaller venues/restaurants and occasions throughout the week.

Drop me a message if this is something you might be interested in.
