ABOUT

Hi guys.

Who I Am/What I'm Looking For

I'm a vocalist with some singing and drama experience and would be really keen to get together an '80s synthpop tribute going with an established keyboardist/programmer/producer (if possible) based in Surrey/West Sussex ie Horsham/Crawley area/Hampshire ie Aldershot/Farnbrough area/south London to rehearse and hopefully gradually build up some local gigs.

My vocal performances
So please feel free to take a look at my short vocal cover clips with karaoke backing tracks of various 80s synthpop artists, here: https://soundcloud/stuart_w88

Influences

Vocals/Influences
I perform various era vocals of artists and particularly love Depeche Mode's Dave Gahan, Pet Shop Boys' Neil Tennant, A-ha's Morten Harket, Erasure's Andy Bell, Soft Cell's Marc Almond, Human League's Phil Oakey, Tears For Fears' Roland Orzabal/Curt Smith etc (as well as lots of others from Simple Minds and Ultravox to Blancmange, Heaven 17 and Fiction Factory via some Gary Numan, OMD and New Order Smile). I'd even be happy to have a go at 'less obviously synthy' Duran Duran/ABC/Spandau Ballet-esque new romantic styles too :)).
