I have played Guitar for around 15years. I have also played Piano, Drums and Bass in that time as well as singing, both lead vocals and backing vocals.
I have a BMus (Hons) Degree in Jazz, Popular and Commercial Music from The Sage Gateshead (via Sunderland Uni) where I Majored in Production and Composition as well as taking a Performance Module throughout the 3 Years.
In terms of gigging, I have around 7 years experience playing in a wide variety of bands and venues. A short list of some of the projects I have been involved with:
A professional working band, which played 3-4, gigs a week all over the UK
6-piece rock/pop band that played functions and corporate events
Rock trio that gigged consistently for 3 years around the North East, playing original material and covers
Soul/funk/rock quartet that also gigged for around a year
20 piece big band, playing Jazz/Big band standards and modern arrangements
5/7-piece Soul/Funk/Jazz band that played original music and covers
Jazz Guitar duo that performed as part of the Gateshead International Jazz Festival 2011
