ABOUT
United by desire to make something beautiful, Super 8 Cynics started out as a disparate group of session musicians assembled by front man Ady.
It was only after weeks in the studio each of them realised theyâ??d finally found their ideal band mates.
Guitarist Neal and drummer Paulâ??s hard rock influences combine with the pop and New Wave styles of bassist Jack and synth guru Mike.
Songwriter and vocalist Adyâ??s smooth yet powerful baritone completes a sound that has come of age, both in the studio and on stage.
Originally conceived as a solo project, a parade of session players came and went before Neal was introduced to Ady by his brother, and Adyâ??s co-producer, Lee.
Nealâ??s former band mate Paul followed not long afterwards, but it was when Jack and Mike arrived together to take part in their first rehearsal that sparks flew and the making of the album really began.
In a year of studio work, in between day jobs and financial woes, they bonded over the creative process â?? not to mention the vision of Mike stripped down to his underpants in celebration of a perfect first take.
Ady, Neal, Jack, Paul and Mike became Super 8 Cynics.
