I've sung on/off all my life since Primary school, working in bands, as a solo performer and as part of a duo.
Just before I settled down to raise a family, I was working overseas, doing 4 -6 month contracts in 5* venues, the last one being in the Gaberone Sun. We were offered a further 6 months at the Tuhbanchu Sun, but I left to get married.
I formed a Duo with my brother some years later, and we worked the Holiday camps, pubs, clubs etc mainly in the North Wales area. After about 6 years I hung up my mic to concentrate on other things. Haven't sung much in recent years, but I somehow managed to get my first acting/singing role just over a year ago, playing a night in the Aphra theatre in Canterbury and another in one of the smaller rooms of the Leicester Square theatre in London.

Influences
Hard to pigeon hole - used to perform lots of Tina Turner, but I also like Mary Black. Usually, anything with some,'soul', regardless of the genre.
Now I'm enjoying Van Morrison, Etta James, Michael Buble type tunes, Amy Winehouse, Adele, Ray Charles, and I'm sorry, but I DO like Will Young too!!
Not keen on anything that involves Banjos!
EQUIPMENT
Hung up my mic some years ago thinking I wouldn't sing again, and sold all my gear, but I'll just purchase what is required - hasn't everything got tiny!!?
