My name is Dan Sheppard. I am an experienced musician, songwriter, performer, sound engineer and producer. I have played in many different musical projects since my teenage years and recently graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan with a BA (Hons) in Music Production & Technology. I currently live in Wirksworth and work for The Fishpond in Matlock Bath as a music promoter, graphic designer and marketing co-ordinator.
Since moving here from Cardiff, I have only really performed acoustically and I am itching to get a band together again!

Influences
My taste is hugely eclectic. I am influenced by many, many things. Some of those things aren't even music.
I'm a huge fan of contrast. Quiet/loud, pretty/horrific, modern/old. I live music that changes, flows and progresses. I can get bored pretty easily while listening to an album, for nce, if it doesn't vary in tone, dynamics, genre etc.

A song I wrote and performed with my band City Circus in Cardiff. On the recording I played everything except for the drums and I mixed and mastered it at my home studio.

This is a piece I composed and recorded for a uni assignment where the subject was Cardiff. I chose to focus on the multiculturalism and eclecticism that makes Cardiff such an interesting place.

This is an experiment of mine. I took one of those speech programs and recorded it "speaking" some lines. I turned it into a melody using Melodyne and wrote some retrofuturistic dance rock stuff to go with it!
