Experienced musicians putting together a new band. Herts/London borders. Currently rehearsing regularly in Mill Hill, London NW7, but flexible as to location. We're from Watford/St. Albans area with links to London too.
Our influences are varied, but we're looking to create an expansive alternative rock sound. We're rehearsing and working through new material as a three piece (guitarist, vocalist and drummer). We need to find the right bassist, and ideally we'd bring in a keys/synth player now too to get the sound we have in mind. If you're a keys player and up for playing a bit of guitar on some tracks that'd be cool too.
We're all competent musicians, studied music at uni and have experience of recording, and of playing some big shows as well as the usual circuit venues.
We don't have any full band recordings, it's early days and you're not here to write and record your parts down yet! What we do have are recordings of past bands that show our musicianship and songwriting off, even if the style's a bit different from what we've got in mind now. Give us a shout if you want to hear those.
If you can use your imagination a little you can take a listen to a couple of rough demos we knocked up of tunes we're now working on. These are just home cooked demos with programmed drums (the real ones are sounding wicked), live vocal take & guitar/keys. As you might imagine those tunes have developed a bit since we started rehearsing them. It'll still give you an idea of the direction those tunes are going in. We've lots more ideas in the pipeline and want you to come in and be involved with the writing and shaping of the songs.
We're planning on rehearsing/writing together a couple of times a week (evenings/weekends). Hoping to be out playing and getting some recordings down before too long.
