SEEKING
Trumpet, Saxophone, Piano, Other Percussion, Keyboard, Background Singer.ABOUT
Soul/jazz/pop influenced quirky material with strong melodies...
SEEKING: Boy or girl keyboardist/pianist into funk, soul, jazz (and a bit of 80's quirk a la Prince thrown in for good measure). Second female backing vocalist. My live set-up is missing the layers, sounds and parts that grace the recordings... I need someone flexible, competent, rhythmically good and with a decent set-up that will embrace the need for lovely lovely sounds... also need soulful BV to complete harmonic duo behind the lead lines...
I was the front-man in a jazz-pop group for about five years and have played many gigs, including Ronnie Scotts, The London Astoria and The Manchester Apollo. I have also toured the UK supporting 80s pop legends The Human League (yeah).
I'm desperate for a good keyboard player and second vocalist as we have gigs booked and I'm having to use stand-ins. Once I have some settled players, the band can cause stirs and wow audiences more effectively. I have a drummer, bassist, guitarist and a female singer so far (brass and percussion on the horizon...) and they're all very easy to get on with and into their music...
As is obvious, I am leaning over towards soul, jazz and funk rather than indie, rock, metal or punk. So, if you're an interested and enthusiastic soul up for a musical adventure and like some of my influences, please contact me right now.
