I'm looking for musicians of all ages and persuasions to start up a diverse and rhythmical band who would b e willing to help make alternative percussion instruments using recycled materials to integrate into a Reggae, Funk, Soul, Hip Hop outfit with a political and rebellious edge with a view to gigging all over the country. I plan to apply for funding and sponsorship from various organizations and seek a booking agent to secure regular paid work from gigs. Promote the band through the internet using a website and myspace etc. Rent a rehersal room so that regular practice sessions take place. I basically want to treat this as a business and ultimately create paying jobs for talented people who are willing to put in the hours to make it happen. You don't have to be a "professional musician" to apply but a fair degree of rhythmn and musicality is expected. I'm also looking for people who would be willing to work behind the scenes, operating lighting, mixing desks and artistic direction so that we can offer a spectacular, media rich show.
