SEEKING
Bass Guitar, Upright bass.ABOUT
The Jones Boys are currently a 2-piece band playing high quality traditional music from Ireland, England, Scotland, Brittany and around Europe. The marketing term is 'Celtic' (ugh!).
We are currently seeking a third and possibly a fourth musician to complete our line-up. We would like to recruit a really good bass player, preferably upright or acoustic. We would also be interested in a hand percussionist, someone who can play bodhrán properly, as well as other instruments, such as congas, djembe and so on (tablas would be really interesting).
We don't care about your age or sex, but a bass player able to read music would be an advantage, given the number of tunes in our set (about 50!). The percussionist would need to be able to play complex rhythms.
We rehearse once a week in Sandwich, and gig when we can.
