The decrees are a indie rock 'n' roll band, and hail from fife, scotland.the band were formed in early 2016. Their line up comprises of, vocals Eilidh Stout,guitarist Callum Bell and drummer Kieran Bell, releasing their exciting debut four-track ep, in april 2017, screams from suburbia.the following year the band breaks with the overall theme and feeling of their debut ep, with double a-side single sons of rage. recorded by the renowned Michael Brennan of the substation (mogwai, snow patrol, super furry animals, loop, primal scream) and mastered by Pete Maher ( u2, pixies, jack white, the rolling stones, lana del rey).Moving into 2018 brought the release of "i don't mind" also mixed and mastered by the aforementioned Brennan and Maher.
2019 brought with it change and the band had a lineup change. the decrees had two single releases in 2019. the anticipated 'silhouettes of the moon' and the innovative 'liberté', which saw the band establish itself as a force to be reckoned with blending pop-infused rhythm and lyrics.in the summer of 2020 “the crees” as they are affectionately known,gave us the great summer anthem “here comes summer”.Working with Gracenote studios, two rock-pop laden tracks “camero”and “run” get released in 2022.The band undergoes a line up change after “run”bringing in there first female vocalist who debuts her incredible vocal talents on newly released track “just a matter of time”.
