We are The Vernon Principle, we are an 80s guilty pleasures based in Hampshire.
We have been playing as a singer, guitarist, drummer, keys and bassist and have just started gigging but our bassist has decided to seek pastures new, so we are looking for a new bassist to complete our line up once more.
Our set list is varied, all 80s. We aim to do those great songs that we love, but other bands don't tend to cover. We have already built a following and want to continue with our gigs as soon as possible.
Our set list consists of an eclectic mix of synth pop, pop, rock and 2 Tone, everything from Bowie, Tears For Fears, Duran, Gary Numan, Simple Minds, Erasure, Pet Shop Boys and Go West to Phil Collins, Haircut 100, Madness, Wang Chung, Human League, Danny Wilson, The Cult, Inxs, Talk Talk, The Cars, Prince, Roachford and Culture Club. The list keeps growing!
We are very friendly and amiable, no egos, and just ask you are as committed to the group as we are and not in another band so that it doesn't clash with gigs or commitment.
We practice every other Tuesday in some great facilities in Eastleigh, which we hire at a reasonable cost, and occasionally arrange ad hoc extra practices if needed. The aim is to continue gigging and grow bigger.
