Modern Jazz influences, loves improvisation. Music reading is limited, but I like to think that my quick thinking and style can get me through. As soon as I know the chords and keys, and the tracks in my head, I'm sorted!
Want to play in a small band on an informal basis, in pubs, cafes, play our own compositions, or put a twist on standards.
Last 48 months been learning acoustic guitar and vocals
Wouldn't mind some informal practise with a view to open mic etc and go from there.

Influences
Thelonius Monk, Tri Fi, Miles Davis, Funk, even some good heavy metal guitar breaks an mellow jazz from the likes of Eric Marenthal and Dave Koz. Even acoustic guitar. I'm sure if there's the inclination, then try different styles and see what works. I'd like to exchange music ideas, meet up every 3-4 wks and work towards gigging on a monthly basis. Nothing too formal, not a massive comittment, but enough to keep me thinking and keep my eye in. Radical music is good for me. Studio music would also be cool.

EQUIPMENT
Alto saxophone, I'm not the best at sheet reading, but my improvisation is spot on and my mates reckon I can busk to anything. I'll take any compliments.
Acoustic Guitar but limited as learning, can play maybe a dozen or so chords pretty well and it works fine. I'm doing Ok now.
Vocals are great now.
