Hi, I'm a guitarist, have been playing for ages and like most, I'm decent at some styles, and wish I was better at others.
Living in Godalming / Guildford area having moved here recently, mainly looking to meet other musicians for fun - jamming, song writing, recording etc.
My idea of a fun time would be chilling out with one or two other musicians, trying to write and record some music over a beer and some laughs, all mainly for fun, but to a decent standard if we can muster it. I think it's possible to play well and create something we can be proud of, without taking it too seriously, right?
Would be happy to gig too, but not an immediate priority right now.
I play acoustic and electric. On electric my style is somewhat bluesy, soul-y, poppy, rocky stuff. From John Mayer, to Mark Knopfler, to Hendrix, to AC/DC, to Sigur Ros. On acoustic I lean more towards fingerstyle, folk, a bit of country, Celtic, and pop.
But really happy to try anything as long as it is fun.
