A decent standard of guitarist, albeit a little rusty after virtually giving up playing for 10 years to focus on a non-music career, looking to get playing again with others of a similar age and interests.
I want to play heavy melodic hard rock/metal but I don't mind derivatives, although I don't want really want to play thrash or black metal or anything that is just a screaming noise.
I would like to write our own material, but also throw in a few selected covers. I don't want to be in a covers band or god forbid a tribute band...
I am committed in that I'll regulary attend rehersals, practice at home, buy required gear and I would like to gig, but I'm not going to blindly quit my day job in a wild dream that I'm going to be discovered...unless Rammstein ask our band to support them on tour! LOL!
I'd be in it for the music, the laughs and the beer - not the career and money. However,.........
