Hi! My name is Umayr and I'm a musician and composer currently based in Bradford. I have been playing guitar for nearly 9 years now and studied music at college and university. Currently I'm writing more material focused around using a loop pedal and drum pad. As I'm not a great singer I am looking mainly for a vocalist to write with and potentially start gigging with. The ability to play an instrument is a bonus but not necessary. Ideally looking for a female vocalist as I feel it might suit the sound better but if any vocalist is interested that's fine too. The closest I can describe the type of music I do with loop stuff could be alternative, rock/post-rock, slightly ambient type stuff but it is quite difficult to explain. I also have my own car so travelling to any surrounding cities would be easy for me if you are based outside of Bradford.

Influences

I listen to all kinds of music, from classical to experimental electronic. For the style I'm currently writing in, Tash Sultana has been the main big influence on me. Other influences include Hammock, Warpaint, Tame Impala, Bon Iver, Moses Sumney, etc.
