**GUITARIST WANTED**
Our current guitarist is moving to Scotland in Jan next year and will sadly be leaving the band after six years. We are therefore currently actively seeking a replacement before the year end as we are already booking gigs for next year.

We are all in our early 60's, have been playing our entire lives and currently do at least 2 pub gigs per month in and around East and West Sussex. We rehearse regularly and have a very committed approach to what we do. There are no egos involved, all have an equal say in what we do and how we do it, and have the common goal of being the best we can be whilst also having fun.

The sound that we aimed for at the outset and have since achieved, is a stripped down, raw and very tight sound, whilst adding our own twist to the original versions of the tracks that we cover. We purposely chose to have only one guitarist in the band in order to achieve that ‘stripped down’ sound. With minimal instrumentation, it also provides ‘nowhere to hide’ and so has challenged each of us to improve and sharpen our individual roles within the band.

As the sole guitarist in the band, you will therefore need to have a natural feel and talent for both rhythm and very fluid lead guitar and an ability to create a big sound when required, together with an instinctive ability to layer your own creative footprint over what we already do, or to generate new ideas for the band in other directions. The general genres that we cover can be categorised as rock (classic and modern), blues, punk and anything else, old or new, that fits with our approach.

Formed in 2018 from the hot ashes of previous band manifestations, Undercover Band are a four piece pub-rock band, smashing out popular modern and old school pub-rock covers around the pubs and clubs of the South of England.

Our Modus Operandi is to bring an enjoyable mix of old and new foot stomping classic pub-rock covers to the south coast, whilst also actively encouraging audience participation and lots of air guitar!

As a band, our focus is to delivery our music with feeling and with a stripped down rawness that is very, very tight.
