ABOUT

Looking to start a 2000s Alt Rock / Indie-Pop / Party Rock / Guitar Rock style band in West London (or surrounding areas.)

(If you're in another band already that's fine. Time commitment will be pretty low initially, so could work as a side project.)

Drawing inspiration from bands like:

- Bloc Party
- The Wombats
- Scouting For Girls
- The Kooks
- Two Door Cinema Club

Mostly going for upbeat indie-pop kinda vibes. Although I grew up on pop-punk and post-hardcore and metal, so there may be some darker tones at times

LOOKING FOR:

Guitar (x2):
Plucky riffs and jangly chords. Not really any super difficult parts, but there are some fiddly riffs and awkward chords at times. Ideally, you're able to play a few basic things on keyboard too, if needed. And being able to do background vocals would also be a bonus

Bass:
No crazy slap bass parts or anything, but there are lots of "melodic" bass riffs to learn and lots of moving up and down the neck. I.e. you won't find yourself falling asleep on stage playing 4-note progressions

Drums:
Basically upbeat indie-pop style drums for the most part. The playlist above will give you a good sense of the style.

Vocals (M or F):
Not sure what sound yet, I'll know it when I hear it! But ideally you're a good showman/frontman, and able to write lyrics. (I can help with lyrics)

Influences

Grew up on punk rock, pop-punk, and metalcore, etc (A Day to Remember, Paramore, Moose Blood, Sum 41, BMTH, all that good stuff). In recent years been more into indie music.
