i have been involved in a few folk-rock and acoustic covers bands over the years but am keen to develop my own songs now although open to lots of ideas. i sing and write my own material, play lead and rhythm guitar, mandolin and some keyboards.

Influences
i like lots of different types of music - strong lyrics particularly, and i am drawn to fairly simple guitar based songs.
I like neil young, early bruce springsteen, damien rice, dylan, i am kloot, ben weaver, ian brown, justin sulivan, waterboys, lou reed, patty smith, beth orton, nick cave and leonard cohen, anything with slide guitar, as well as more traditional folk stuff.... have quite enjoyed some noah and the whale and florence and the machine to bring it up to date...
have just been listening to lal waterson and mumford and sons.....
EQUIPMENT
a few too many guitars, both electric and acoustic, mandolins, recording kit, a small pa and transport.
