Amazing opportunity for a 22-30 year old Guy or Girl who is willing to do what it takes to make a career in music. Leicester/Peterborough based Young Decades are looking for someone ambitious to slot in as our main Guitarist and backing vocalist - and possibly some keyboards. Kit will be provided.

ABOUT Young Decades:
Young Decades is a mainstream indie band sat at around 5-10k listeners per month on spotify and half a million streams in total after 10 releases in 2 years. We have a mini following in Leicester that we need to strengthen and branch out to satellite East Midlands towns too. The next phase will be properly onboarding the new member with photos, nailing the live set, recording and adding more songs every 8-10 weeks and to begin -ing and Gigging in London
- We have representation at a top 3 music law firm and have had interest from Warner Chappell and WME (live agents) - it's on US to act upon it
- Co-produced and mixed by Tom Longworth (Oscar Lang, Alfie Templeman, Bloxx) who's an old friend of ours.
- We currently practice in Peterborough and Derby

ABOUT YOU:
Generally speaking, if you want to be a signed musician, you've got to be right up for doing what a signed musician would do:
- Travel: We have an awesome air conditioned practice room at our house in Peterborough, and in order to get signed we'll be continuing to gig in the east midlands and London - so car and the willingness to travel is a bare minimum.
- Time: You'll need a night a week for practice, good availability on Friday afternoon/evening for gigs. Touring could be on the horizon which is even more time, so flexibility or the willingness to buckle down and chuck time in is needed.
- Proactive Hustler: we need help doing all of the peripheral band promotion things: - finding spotify playlists, securing photographers for gigs, helping break into , making relationships with other great bands and fan groups, getting friends to gigs, merch. Basically you've gotta be good with google, emailing, being curious - all that good hustling stuff Smile

So I know this is a LOT, but the best things in life are hard to do - but the industry contacts, songs and momentum are real leverage we have that don't come around very often. If we keep momentum high on this project we could easily get it signed within a couple of years.... so there is an upside to the graft to get excited about!
